After Shades I started playing with embroidery again. I hadn't embroidered since I was a child and Patty Ann at Shades gave me some much needed pointers to get started again.
Genevieve had played Tablero with Masatsugu at Shades and fell in love with the game. So for her birthday I got to work embroidering her a Tablero board. I used gold metallic thread, which in retrospect, is not the easiest thread to work with.
She learned that Crown was the weekend we had planned her birthday party. She decided she wanted to cancel what we had planned, do something on a later weekend with her friends and instead go to crown.
It was her birthday and she was so excited to go. Aig said she'd take her under her wing as a lady in waiting. Then Belle, Aig, and Masatsugu all went to work on making an outfit that was perfect for this little lady. It came out so beautiful, Masatsugu spent many late night hours finishing it up.
Genevieve smiled all day long. And then, she received a cypher, her very first award and the pride and joy simply shined through her. What a wonderful organization and group of people to welcome and encourage the young.
For me, Crown was a wonderful experience and I fell just a little more in love with all the people and fun of the Kingdom.
